      Grab Your Popcorn: Apple Responds To Google

      Steve Jobs is ready for a brawl.It appears Apple isn’t going to take allegations that it did indeed reject the Google Voice app lying down. The company has fired back in a short statement to Silicon Alley Insider.

      We do not agree with all of the statements made by Google in their FCC letter. Apple has not rejected the Google Voice application and we continue to discuss it with Google.

      Well someone is lying – we know that much – and I’m still going to bet it’s Apple. Why would Google release statements to the contrary if they were still in talks with Apple. That doesn’t fit with Google SOP in any way, though ass-covering does seem to fit fit Apple quite well. As SAI has it, Google declined to comment any further on the situation. I just hope the FCC is around to break-up the ensuing slap fight should things get any worse.

      Accessory Review: iSkin Revo2 iPhone Case

      Today I’ve got another video review for you. This time it’s the iSkin Revo2, a rubbery case designed for maximum shock absorption and a little moisture protection.

      It’s a decent case, though it can be tough to get a good fit around the phone. At $39.99 it’s a little too expensive for what the product offers, but a decent buy if you can find it on sale. If you’re looking for a simple case that looks nice with decent shock protection, check out the iSkin Solo or Solo FX.

      iTwinge Gives iPhone A Pointless Physical Keyboard

      Mobile Mechatronics iTwinge.Looks like somebody really thinks the iPhone should have a physical keyboard. So much so, in fact, that they made one. The company is Mobile Mechatronics and the product in question is the iTwinge, a physical keyboard that plugs in to the dock connector on your iPhone and lays over the screen where the keys would normally be.

      Why Mobile Mechatronics felt the need to make this little device is beyond me. It’s ugly as sin, and the fact that it draws power from the phone makes me cringe. There’s also the fact that it covers almost half your screen, meaning you’ll need to remove the thing and stuff it in a pocket for regular phone use. To cap things off, MM wants you to spend $30 on the thing. All I can say is good luck. It’s probably not gonna happen.

      iPhone MMS Getting Sporadic Activation

      iPhone MMS rollout.Reports are showing up all over the web today that iPhone MMS has been activated seemingly at random for many users. September 25th is supposed to be the official launch date, but users from locations as saturated as Manhattan and as far-flung as Iowa have reported MMS support on a variety of carrier and OS configurations.

      This isn’t exactly a surprise. One of AT&T’s major concerns with MMS activation for a phone that has become the most popular camera on Flickr is network load. A slow and steady roll-out is basically a silent beta test – a way for users to get an experience they’ve been waiting for earlier than expected and give AT&T the network feedback they need. If this hadn’t been such a long time coming, I’d be inclined to say the carrier did something right.

      Accessory Review: iSkin Solo And Solo FX

      Today I’ve got a review of the Solo line of iPhone cases from iSkin. I decided to shoot the review as a video so you can really see the benefits of the case. Overall, iSkin’s put together an excellent product. It’s simple, fits the phone well, and looks great. My only complaint is price. At $29.99 for the Solo and $32.99 for the Solo FX, the cases are a bit more expensive than the features they offer. If you can get a deal on either, it would be worth picking up.
