If you are a part of a ghost hunting team, making sure that you have the right gear is immensely important. In order to properly capture ghosts in their native environment, it is a good idea to keep these tools close by in your hunting kit. (Or if you are just looking to throw a ghost hunting party this upcoming Halloween, these tips can be useful too!)
1. Night Vision Surveillance Cameras
Ok. This one may not be necessary for a Halloween party, but for the serious ghost hunters this is a must have. These night vision devices allow the user to view spirits in the dark in any location. These come in many different shapes and sizes, but if you are looking to setup cameras in your home, I personally recommend these dome cameras for home security. The dome cameras are crucial because they are not limited in scope of view and can cover a lot of angles.
2. The V Pod
This handy electronic device is able to emit its own electromagnetic field, and it also interacts with other fields that it comes in contact with. If there are any disturbances around this field, such as ghosts or other spirits, the pod will light up. The closer the ghost gets to the pod, the stronger the light becomes. A similar device is called a REM Pod, which has the antennae and light bulbs positioned slightly differently, but it also emits and translates electromagnetic fields for spirit tracking. 3. The Ovilus
This fancy ghost-hunting device comes in many forms, and it is able to translate conversations from your ghosts. This hand held reader is able to interpret the environment using many sensors, including electromagnetic waves, and converts these readings into words. The Ovilus contains a database of over 2,000 words that it responds to, and it uses a mathematical formula to calculate the words of your ghost.
4. The Teddy Bear K2 Meter
Another electromagnetic field meter that is slightly different than the rest is this Teddy Bear K2 Meter. Like many of the other useful ghost hunting devices, this one has a built in K2 meter that detects an ethereal presence.
In addition to having the meter built in, this specific device is encapsulated by a teddy bear, allowing ghosts to have a tangible object to interact with. While some ghosts may not recognize a standard K2 meter, this teddy bear could help track down spirits that prefer to be near an actual trigger object. This high tech stuffed animal also contains a light up device, which is helpful for ghost interaction in the dark.
5. The Spring Ouija Board
The infamous Ouija board is an excellent device for your more communicative ghosts and party needs as well. When using the Ouija board, this multi-level tool gives ethereal beings many options for human interaction. This board can use the attached planchette to communicate, or it can also spin its attached base in order to speak with the other side.
